Leicester City were never going to be easy opponents for Liverpool, and we needed a last-minute penalty to beat the Foxes.

The Foxes didn’t have too many clear-cut chances but took the one quality opportunity that came.
Mane won the penalty which James Milner scored and Jurgen Klopp celebrated that goal wildly.
The German is known to be a passionate person on the pitch, and a video clip from The Athletic’s James Pearce showed just how much this win meant to the manager.
Klopp fist-bumped the fans at the Kop End as we kept our 100% winning start in the Premier League intact.
An important win for the Reds
Liverpool head off into the international break holding their advantage over Manchester City. The Reds have en eight-point lead before the Cityzens play their game in hand on Sunday.
Leicester are one of the best sides in the Premier League and are trying to break into the top six. They already have a win over Tottenham and drew with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Foxes were also one of the few teams to take a point from Anfield last season.
Every point is important for us in the battle to win the Premier League and it was great that we didn’t settle for the draw on Saturday.
