Real Madrid open to selling Liverpool-linked Martin Odegaard
Martin Odegaard is trying to resurrect his career after a big move to Real Madrid when he was 16.
The Norwegian struggled at the La Liga club and spent time at two clubs before joining Real Sociedad on a two-year loan spell.
The 20-year-old has started well at the new club and has two goals and two assists from seven La Liga games.
The attacking midfielder is still one of the brightest talents in the world and ESPN (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Florentino Perez believes this is the right time to sell the Norway international.
Liverpool are interested in the 20-year-old, however, Arsenal and Manchester City are also keen on the midfielder (h/t Calciomercato).
Odegaard needs a good season under his belt
The youngster needs to perform consistently if he wants to make it at Real Madrid or another big club.
Odegaard’s start with Sociedad hasn’t been bad, and it will be interesting to see how he performs for the remainder of the season.
Liverpool have several options in their midfield but can always do with a creative talent joining the ranks. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are two players who are more inclined to help the attack, however, both have had their injury problems.
Liverpool have made some great buys under Jurgen Klopp and it will be interesting to see who we sign in the upcoming windows.
