Virgil van Dijk believes Mohamed Salah will be fit to face Manchester United
Mohamed Salah limped off in the 2-1 win over Leicester City after a horrible challenge by Hamza Choudhury.
The Leicester star got a yellow for the tackle from behind, but it was concerning to see the Egyptian leave the pitch.
Liverpool have a couple of weeks to rest before facing Manchester United at Old Trafford, and Virgil van Dijk believes Salah will be fit for the clash.
The Dutch defender also told Sky Sports that the international break gave Salah a lot of time to recover (h/t Daily Star):
“I think he should be not too bad.
“The good thing he has plenty of time to recover.
“He’ll probably get a time to recover as well.
“So I’m not concerned that he’s not going to be ready for United away.”
Liverpool need Salah for the trip to Old Trafford
Although the Reds have been in excellent form this season, nothing can be taken for granted against the Red Devils.
United are in deep trouble under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the Norwegian could be under more pressure after a loss to the Reds.
However, United will not make things easy and a game against our rivals cannot be a guaranteed win.
Liverpool failed to break down United in the corresponding fixture last season, and need the talent of Salah.
The Egyptian might not have been at his best against Leicester, but he is capable of producing moments of magic on the pitch.
