La Liga boss names Jurgen Klopp as the manager he admires most

Diego Simeone names Jurgen Klopp as the manager he admires most

Diego Simeone is one of the most combative managers in the world, and has done a wonderful job at Atletico Madrid.

The Argentine has taken the other team from Madrid to two Champions League finals but was unable to lift the title.

Simeone also broke the stranglehold that Barcelona and Real Madrid had in the Spanish league and lifted the title with Atletico a few years ago.

The 49-year-old has lifted two Europa League titles too and is extremely passionate on the pitch, just like Jurgen Klopp.

The Argentine was asked which manager he admired the most and explained why it was Klopp (h/t Liverpool Echo):

“A manager that I respect? Jurgen Klopp without a doubt. He had to lose things, as well as winning some beautiful things, but he’s always done it with one style. I see him really close to his players.”

Klopp producing magic for Liverpool

The German has been exceptional at Anfield since taking over from Brendan Rodgers, and Simeone is right in suggesting that he is close to the players.

The Reds have become stronger under the German’s leadership, and we won the Champions League in the previous campaign.

The only prize missing in our trophy cabinet is the Premier League, but that could change this season.

Liverpool hold an eight-point lead over Manchester City already, and that could increase in the coming weeks when we face the Cityzens.
