Sadio Mane lifts lid on how Georginio Wijnaldum reacted to Burnley bust-up
Sadio Mane has revealed that several Liverpool stars laughed out regarding the bust-up at Burnley.
Mane was extremely upset with Mohamed Salah for not passing the ball during the game and had to be calmed down by James Milner on the bench.
The Senegal international highlighted that things are alright between the pair and told Canal Plus that Georginio Wijnaldum had a
“Everyone was taking the p*** out of us.
“Wijnaldum, who likes to tease people, waited until everyone was there, came up to me and asked out loud ‘Mo Salah, why did Mane want to hit you?’
“The whole team started laughing.”
Salah didn’t see Mane
The Egyptian might be one of the best in the world, but he should do more to find his open teammates.
Salah had two great chances to pass the ball to Roberto Firmino and Mane, but the forward didn’t see them.
Mane claimed that Salah asked him why the Senegal star was angry and the former Saint replied:
“I told him ‘You needed to give me the ball, Mo’, to which he replied ‘I didn’t see you. You know I’ve got nothing against you’”.
The Senegal star explained that he wanted the Reds to kill teams off early by scoring multiple goals like Manchester City do and was frustrated at not being able to do that at Burnley.
It didn’t matter in the end as we came out with all the points but Mane is right in suggesting we need to kill off teams quicker.
