Liverpool on alert after Erling Haaland’s brace against Napoli
Erling Haaland has been in exceptional form for FC Salzburg this season and continued his scoring streak last night.
The 19-year-old scored a brace in the Champions League loss to Napoli and took his tally to 20 goals from 13 matches.
Haaland broke a Champions League record by becoming the first player to score six goals in his first three appearances in the competition.
The Norwegian scored a hat-trick against Genk in his opening game and also found the back of the net against Liverpool a few weeks ago. The Mirror claims that the Reds have been alerted regarding Haaland and the player is also being linked with Manchester United.
The Norwegian is the first teenager since Karim Benzema to score in each of his first three Champions League games. He is also the first teenager to find the back of the net six times in the competition.
There is interest from other shores too, with Barcelona and Real Madrid watching the youngster (h/t Mirror). Haaland knows England pretty well as his father, Alf Inge, played for Leeds. Erling was born in Leeds too.
Liverpool to add a young forward to the team?
The Reds already have
Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones impressed in that win while Paul Glatzel also has a bright future ahead of him.
