James Milner hopes Liverpool contract will be sorted out

James Milner has to be one of the best free agent signings done in the history of Liverpool.

The former Manchester City star has been incredible under Jurgen Klopp and was one of the stars in our Champions League run last season.

The 33-year-old hasn’t slowed down one bit and keeps on improving with age. Milner is a great professional and can cover several positions, which is a bonus for Klopp.

The midfielder is out of a contract at the end of the season and wanted a resolution before the summer.

Milner was speaking on a range of topics and highlighted his contract scenario at Anfield (h/t Guardian):

“I still feel very good and no different to what I did six years ago. My contract with Liverpool is up at the end of the season but hopefully we’ll sort something out. I want to keep going as long as possible at the highest level.”

The 33-year-old is one of the most experienced members of the squad and it is a no-brainer that we keep him in the team.

Always giving 100% on the pitch

The Englishman is extremely committed on the pitch and always plays his heart out.

He is one of the vice-captains at the club too, and we need to keep him at all costs.

The 33-year-old might see reduced playing time when his legs go, but that is far from the case at the moment.

Milner is possibly the fittest member of the side and he keeps on putting in great performances.

The Englishman also has the experience of winning the Premier League, and that will help us as we aim to land the trophy this season.
