Liverpool face Aston Villa in Carabao Cup quarter-finals

Liverpool will face fellow Premier League side Aston Villa in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

The Reds won their fourth-round clash on penalties after a crazy 5-5 draw with Arsenal. Both teams handed starts to several young players and Divock Origi scored in the dying seconds of normal time to send the game into penalties.

Curtis Jones hit the winning goal from the spot and next, we travel to Villa Park for the quarter-final clash.

The date of the clash is yet to be finalized since we will be away on Club World Cup duty in December but we should be confident of doing well against the Villans.

Big guns get relatively easy draws

Manchester United and Manchester City were also involved in the draw but they have gotten easier fixtures. The Red Devils host Colchester United while City travel to Oxford United for the quarter-finals.

The final tie of the round will see another all-Premier League clash, with Everton hosting Leicester City. It is a little surprising that both Manchester sides avoided a big clash but we should be confident of doing well even with the reserves.

There were some standout performers in the win over the Gunners and many fans expected them to do well against the Villans.

Few were suspicious of how the draws were conducted and here are some of their reactions from Twitter.
