Kai Havertz confident of doing well for clubs outside Germany
Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz is confident he will perform well should he play outside Germany. The Mirror reports that Liverpool have been linked with the 20-year-old.
Manchester United are also keen on Havertz and are preparing an £80million bid for the German (h/t Mirror).
The German scored 17 goals last season but has found the back of the net just thrice this season.
Havertz is also a regular for the German national side and scored in their recent 2-2 draw with Argentina.
Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Barcelona are also keen on the 20-year-old, and the midfielder hasn’t ruled out a move outside Germany in the future (h/t Mirror).
The 20-year-old spoke to Spanish outlet Marca and added that he was concentrating on the season ahead for Leverkusen (h/t Mirror):
“I think I’ve picked up enough international experience at Leverkusen.
“I know the rhythm of these international matches and I’m confident that I can go abroad at any moment and play at clubs outside of Germany.
“For the moment, I want to have a good season. Afterwards, we’ll see.”
Bayern Munich on Havertz’s mind
Havertz also spoke about interest from Bayern and would see “what happens” later on.
The 20-year-old further claimed that joining Bayern could help a player attain stardom in Germany.
Leverkusen have a star on their hands and it will be interesting to see if they let him leave in the summer.
