Kylian Mbappe is a priority for Jurgen Klopp in the summer window
Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe is a priority for Liverpool in the summer window, according to El Desmarque (h/t Calciomercato).
The 20-year-old has 10 goals and 4 assists in all competitions for PSG this season and was their top scorer last time around.
Mbappe scored 33 Ligue 1 goals for PSG last season as they easily won the league.
The 2018 World Cup winner can play anywhere across the front-line but has mostly featured as a winger during his time with PSG.
The report claims that Jurgen Klopp has made Mbappe’s signing a priority for next summer. Mbappe is contracted until 2022 and PSG are willing to offer him €40million-per-season to keep him (h/t Calciomercato).
Liverpool would then have to pay a huge amount to pry Mbappe away from PSG (h/t Calciomercato).
Mbappe made his name initially with Monaco as he helped them win the Ligue 1 title from PSG.
However, he joined the Parisians on loan a couple of years ago, and they are aiming for another Ligue 1 title.
Liverpool to spend big in the summer?
The Reds didn’t make too many signings this summer, with only Adrian and Andy Lonergan the seniors to join. Harvey Elliott and Sepp van der Berg were signed, but they are both young and have featured in the Carabao Cup.
