Paris Saint-Germain will not allow Kylian Mbappe to leave Ligue 1 giants
Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their hopes of signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Marca (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The 20-year-old has been linked with the Reds and Real Madrid recently, and Zinedine Zidane has been speaking about Mbappe, claiming that the PSG star dreams of playing for them (h/t Liverpool Echo).
However, PSG sporting director Leonardo blasted Real and Zidane for their comments:
“It’s annoying, he should stop, it’s not the time to talk about dreams and all that, it’s not the time to destabilise everything.”
Mbappe replacing Neymar
The 20-year-old has been excellent for club and country in recent years and won the World Cup in 2018.
Mbappe also helped PSG to a Ligue 1 title and did the same with Monaco before joining the Parisians.
The French forward top-scored for PSG last season and already has 10 goals for the club this campaign. PSG also believe that Mbappe is their best asset ahead of Neymar, and will not hold any discussions for the 20-year-old sensation (h/t Liverpool Echo).
It will be interesting to see what happens with Mbappe in the coming months. PSG have struggled to land the Champions League while Liverpool have grown from strength to strength.
