Andy Robertson pulls out of Scotland’s Euro 2020 qualifiers
Andy Robertson has pulled out of Scotland’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Kazakhstan due to an injury (h/t BBC).
The Scotland captain is one of the three Premier League stars to miss the international break for the European side but will be with the team for the next two days.
Scotland cannot qualify for Euro 2020 from the group but have a play-off semi-final later in March.
Robertson has been in great form this season for Liverpool, with four assists to his name. The 25-year-old also has a couple of goals to his name, with one being the important equaliser against Aston Villa a couple of weeks ago.
Robbo also assisted Mohamed Salah for our second goal in the 3-1 win over Manchester City at the weekend.
Liverpool need Robertson to stay fit
The Scot might be the best left-back in the world and hopefully, he isn’t out for long. Fortunately, the international break is for a couple of weeks and Robbo can return to action for us against Crystal Palace.
Liverpool have a packed schedule until the New Year and we need all our players to stay fit. James Milner, Joe Gomez and Fabinho could play in Robbo’s position, but they aren’t up there with the Scot in terms of quality.
The Reds hold a nine-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League and have a great chance of qualifying from their Champions League group.
