Liverpool scout Schalke star Amine Harit over possible move
Liverpool have sent a scout to watch Schalke midfielder Amine Harit in action, according to Il Corriere dello Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The 22-year-old has five goals and two assists from 11 Bundesliga games this season. Harit is of Moroccan descent and can play in a number of positions.
The Schalke star primarily is a midfielder but has played on the right side this season for David Wagner.
The report claims that Klopp could use his personal relationship with Wagner to try and seal a move for the 22-year-old.
Liverpool in need of a midfielder?
Klopp might have some decisions to make in the summer regarding our midfield options.
James Milner and Adam Lallana are in their 30s while Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson are 29.
Lallana is also a free agent at the end of the season and hasn’t featured much for the Reds in recent seasons.
We have three midfielders who are 26 or below with Fabinho starring for us this season. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain seems to be coming back to form while Naby Keita’s injury woes continue.
The Reds also have Marko Grujic out on loan, and the Serbian has done a great job over the past 18 months or so at Hertha Berlin.
