James Milner takes a hilarious shot at VAR during training with Jordan Henderson

Liverpool needed a bit of a break after their 3-1 win over Manchester City.

The international break provided some of the Reds a rest while others continued training with the side.

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson were two stars that didn’t play for their national sides during the break.

The pair were out injured and hopefully, they will be back to face Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Jordan Henderson also returned early from England duty but was pictured training with James Milner recently.

VAR has been one of the talking points from this Premier League season, and one decision that didn’t go in our favour was the effort chalked off by Roberto Firmino against Aston Villa.

The Brazilian thought he had scored in the win over Aston Villa but VAR ruled the effort offside due to his armpit being a little ahead of the defence.

The Reds still managed to beat the Villans in a tough clash, but Milner had his own take on the problems with VAR.

Milner posted that Hendo’s arm was offside due to his glove but took a shot at the armpit issue with the hashtag: #notasbadasbeingoffbyanarmpit

Inconsistent VAR doing its bit

The Reds have had some favourable decisions go in their favour but VAR and the use of the technology has been inconsistent.

It failed to spot a foul on Divock Origi which led to Manchester United taking the lead against us.

However, we have been saved in a few offside calls too and hopefully, we don’t fall foul to questionable decisions in the future.
