Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Joel Matip to miss Crystal Palace clash
Liverpool could be without the services of three first-team stars against Crystal Palace.
Sky Sports (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will not be fit for the trip to Selhurst Park.
Salah injured his ankle in the win over Manchester City. The initial problem took place against Leicester City and the Egyptian didn’t feature for the national side during the international break.
Robertson also has had an injury and did not play for Scotland during the break.
The report adds that Joel Matip is still out with a problem too. The centre-back hasn’t played for us since the 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Big blows for the Reds
Losing one big player would be a problem as it is but not having three of them could be a bigger issue.
We don’t have a ready replacement for Robertson, though James Milner could play there. Matip’s place in the team has been taken up by Dejan Lovren very well too.
The Croatian was great in the win over City but Palace are always tough opponents.
Joe Gomez is back in the team and could return to action, according to the report. This would be the first game after our win over the Cityzens and we need to get all three points against the Eagles.
