Liverpool interested in Brighton defender Ben White
Liverpool are keen on Brighton defender Ben White, according to The Athletic (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The 22-year-old is currently plying his trade with Leeds United in the Championship.
White has 18 appearances to his name this season, and the centre-back will try Leeds to gain promotion to the Premier League.
The defender can also play as a right-back and the report adds that Liverpool are interested after previously being linked with the 22-year-old.
White is working under one of the best managers in Marcelo Bielsa, and it will be interesting to see how he does for the rest of the campaign.
Liverpool’s defensive problems
This season has also seen some of our defenders pick up issues in recent weeks.
Joel Matip hasn’t played since the 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Andy Robertson recently revealed that he is struggling with a problem and didn’t feature during the international break.
Dejan Lovren has also had his problems in the previous campaign, and we could do with a decent defender coming in.
Sepp van den Berg and Ki-Jana Hoever have tremendous potential. However, the pair need time to develop their skills before playing for us constantly.
