Liverpool could move for Sander Berge after Fabinho injury
Liverpool could be forced to move in the January window for Sander Berge, according to reports (h/t Mirror).
The Norwegian has impressed for Genk this season and has been linked with the Reds recently (h/t Mirror).
Liverpool saw Berge in action during the two Champions League clashes this season, and Jurgen Klopp also spoke with him during one game.
The 21-year-old midfielder has just 18 months left on his contract and seems set to leave the Belgian side (h/t Mirror).
Fabinho picked up an injury during the 1-1 draw against Napoli. The midfielder is expected to be out till the New Year but it could be further than that too (h/t Mirror).
The Reds could be interested in a January swoop for Berge but Napoli and Chelsea are also keen on the 21-year-old (h/t Mirror).
Liverpool have options for Fabinho
Not many can do the same role as Fabinho but the Reds have options to replace the Brazilian.
Georginio Wijnaldum has played in a deeper role before while Adam Lallana has been tested in that position this season.
The Reds can also mix their midfield up to include Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and make it more attacking.
Losing Fabinho for the busiest part of the season is a blow, but injuries are part of the game.
