Hardy had previously been at Manchester City before moving to Brentford in 2016. He made 80 appearances for the Brentford B team and has scored 40 goals. (h/t Mirror)
The youngster, who hails from Wirral, has secured a dream move to Liverpool in spite of not making a single first-team appearance for the Bees.
Brentford B boss Neil MacFarlane believes that Hardy’s move to Liverpool will only help the player.
“He’s perhaps come to the end of his time with the club in terms of the strategy, and to go to a club the size of Liverpool can only be good for him. “
“The club are flying at the moment, they’re European champions, and potential Premier League winners, so being in and around that environment can only be good for Joe.”
Hardy is likely to link up with Neil Critchley’s Under-23 squad for the second half of the season.
With Rhian Brewster set to leave on loan and Paul Glatzel out injured, Hardy is likely to find game time easy to come for the Liverpool U23s.
