The 23-year-old continues to be linked with a move to the Reds and could be in line for a switch to Anfield if he gets his way. Any move will have to wait until the summer with the striker dismissing any chance of him moving this month. (h/t Express)

Leipzig are heavily dependent on Werner for goals and the striker has duly obliged by scoring 39% of his side’s tally in the Bundesliga. The Germans are unlikely to entertain any offers for the striker this month, as they hope to beat Bayern Munich to their first Bundesliga title.

Jurgen Klopp is a long term admirer of Werner and a summer move is likely to cost in the region of £60 million. (h/t Mirror)

The next piece is the Reds jigsaw

Werner is a mobile forward who excels at passing and finishing. He should fit in well into Liverpool’s free plowing attack that will get the best out of his abilities.

Liverpool have relied primarily on their front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the attack. Backups such as Divock Origi are dependable yet lacking in quality when compared to the other three.

Werner offers a much higher pedigree of player for Klopp to choose from. His finishing should also enhance Liverpool’s attack that has at times failed to finish off chances.

Liverpool look set to win the English Premier League this season and could be on to create a dynasty for themselves. Adding Timo Werner will enhance the offensive capabilities of an attack that is already considered one of the best in Europe. This will also allow Klopp to rotate the squad more, without worrying about a drop in quality.

An elite striker in his own right, Werner will also cost much lesser than the likes of Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe, whom the Reds continue to be linked with.
