The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season at Arsenal. The Gunners have begun negotiations and hope the talented midfielder will commit his long-term future to the club.

Having come up through the Arsenal youth ranks, Saka made his debut in 2018 in the Europa League match against Vorskla Poltava. He has stepped it up this season and has made 23 appearances while scoring three goals and five assists. (h/t Whoscored)

The youngster’s contract situation has attracted the attention of some of Europe’s biggest names. Liverpool will have to fend off interest from Manchester United and Bayern Munich if they are to make a move for the player.

A versatile player, Saka predominantly plays on the left-wing. He can also fill in at left-back as he has done for Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac this season.

Liverpool are in the market for a backup for Andy Robertson. Saka’s ability to play anywhere along the left flank should make him an attractive proposition for the Reds.

The midfielder has already shown the Reds first hand what he is capable of. Saka started the Carabao Cup tie at Anfield and caused Neco Willams a number of problems. The 18-year-old also set up an assist for Gabriel Martinelli as Arsenal came from 1-0 down to take the lead.

Saka is a regular in the England Under-19 setup and has scored four goals in ten appearances. (h/t Whoscored)
