Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp keen on Werden Bremen’s Milot Rashica

According to Bild (h/t Metro), Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on Werder Bremen striker Milot Rashica.

The report goes on to mention that the German manager has scouted the 23-year-old on multiple occasions. A versatile player, he can play anywhere along the front line. This would provide the Reds cover in a variety of positions.

The Kosovan international has enjoyed a fine season in the Bundesliga for Die Werderaner and has scored 10 goals and three assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.

Rashica joined Bremen in 2017 from Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem and has gone on to make 59 appearances for the club. He is expected to leave Bremen at the end of this season. The Germans are currently second from bottom in the Bundesliga with relegation a real possibility.

Speaking to Bild (h/t Metro), Bremen’s manager Frank Baumann refused to rule out the player’s departure.

“It is not certain that Milot will leave us in the summer. But I can’t rule it out.”

He also went on to confirm that Bremen have not yet negotiated with any other club regarding Rashica. The 23-year-old has the distinction of having played for two different national sides. He initially worked his way up the youth level to make two appearances for Albania in 2016.

Rashica then switched allegiance to Kosovo in August of the same year and made his debut against Finland just a month later. He has since made 25 appearances for Kosovo and scored four goals.
