Liverpool’s proposed Anfield Road expansion’s second-stage consultations come to an end
According to a report by Liverpool’s official website, the second stage of consultations for Liverpool’s proposed Anfield Road expansion has come to a conclusive end.
Spearheaded by the public, this round of consultation began on 12th February. In addition to local residents, businesses, representatives and supporters were also a part of the group that pored over the club’s updated plans, as per an older report published by LFC.com.
The first round was held last December and we received around 800 responses, out of which a majority were positive. The report further confirms that were a few that offered constructive criticism – especially when it comes to a section of Anfield Road that was proposed to be shut.
Liverpool then made changes based on the feedback received at the time and now, the second-stage consultations have also come to an end.
The report suggests that around 650 responses have been recorded so far. LFC.com also adds that there will be a feedback event during our home game against Bournemouth on March 7th. Once everything is finalized, Liverpool will submit the planning application for the exciting expansion project later this month.
Liverpool have tasted success on a continental level and the international level, winning the Champions League and the Club World Cup in close succession. With all of the on-field progress, it is great to see that our off-field projects are also picking the pace.
