Looking back at some of James Milner’s top social media posts

It has been a little over two years since James Milner made his social media debut. And during that time, our veteran midfielder has treated us with some hilarious posts.

During these difficult times, when the world has been ravaged by the deadly coronavirus pandemic, laughter is needed more than ever. And here we look back at some Milner’s top posts and spread some joy:

1. Debut in style

Milner’s Twitter game was off to a great start! The spoof ‘Boring James Milner’ account has countless references to the midfielder spending his evenings depicting doing mundane activities and showing great enthusiasm doing it. And our man Milner, a good sport, paid homage to this in his first-ever tweet with this hilarious post!

2. Easter is here!

The next jewel from the 33-year-old came during Easter two years ago. In a video he posted on Instagram, Milner was counting all his mini easter eggs, separated them according to colours and made sure there were equal number of eggs of each colour.

There was also a tweet on the same day when he was pictured measuring and sorting the mini eggs by size!

3. Champions League Logo Remover anyone?

There is never a good time to score an own goal in football. But such an incident can be viewed in a humourous light if your team does go on to win the game and progress to the Champions League final. And that is exactly what Milner did here.

Having scored a comical own goal against AS Roma, when Dejan Lovren kicked the ball straight into his face and the ball bounced into Liverpool’s net, Milner saw the funny side of it, as he tweeted saying he needed the Champions League Logo removed off his face.

4. Rationing Tea Bags

The next gem from our midfielder came very recently, when he posted a video where was rationing tea bags in response to teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s dance video with girlfriend Perrie Edwards. Naturally, the post left us fans in stitches!

5. Isolation XI

Self-isolation at home during the coronavirus pandemic seems to have brought the best out of Milner’s social media game. The latest of his posts, saw him select his best ‘Isolation XI’ complete with a substitutes’ bench and manager, comprising of household items. Hysterical!
