Liverpool star Adam Lallana could be set for a reunion with former boss Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City. This is according to former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson (h/t Daily Star).
Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton for £25m in 2014 back when Rodgers was still in charge at Anfield. Under the Northern Irishman, the 31-year-old became a key player at our club and continued to be an important cog even after Rodgers left the club.
However, Lallana’s career has been ravaged by injuries over the past couple of seasons, which has seen him drop down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp. The English midfielder has just started 3 Premier League matches so far in 2019/20. With his contract expiring later this year, his future with Liverpool looks bleak (h/t Daily Star
).And former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson is of the opinion that Lallana will surely be on his way out of the club, with Leicester touted as the midfielder’s next destination. Speaking to Football Insider (h/t Daily Star), he said:
“We will see Lallana move on at the end of the season, a distinct possibility he ends up at Leicester.”
The former Spurs man also added that while Lallana hasn’t played enough this season, the Englishman has shown he is still a quality player (h/t Daily Star).
Indeed, Lallana has done fairly well each time he has been on the field this season. The 31-year-old, who has often been utilized in a deeper role by Klopp this season, has one goal
to his name, which salvaged a point for us against Manchester United early in the campaign. It remains to be seen what the next step in the 31-year-old’s career will be.Daniel Sturridge talks about the contract situation of Liverpool VC Trent Alexander-Arnold Liverpool have received…
