AC Milan pass on chance to make a move for Liverpool star Adam Lallana
According to Italian publication Calciomercato (h/t Mirror), Serie A giants AC Milan have rejected an opportunity to sign Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana in the summer.
The Italians are unconvinced as to what he will bring to the team. The 31-year-old’s contract will be up at the end of the season and the player will leave for free. Lallana is one of our longest-serving players, having joined the club in 2014. (h/t BBC)
Initially a regular under Klopp, injuries have taken a toll on him and severely restricted his ability to shine in recent seasons. In his six seasons at Anfield, he has made 178 appearances and has scored 22 goals and 22 assists.
His injury record too has been a matter of concern for the Italians, despite not having to pay a transfer fee. A versatile attacker, Lallana is nimble-footed with a quick touch. A handful to contain, he has both the eye for a pass and a goal.
This season, he has reinvented himself in a deeper role. It is a mark of the player’s professionalism and ability that he continues to excel there.
He memorably came off the bench to score a late equalizer for Liverpool against Manchester United this season. His strike at the Theatre of Dreams helped us maintain our unbeaten start to the season. (h/t Telegraph)

Interest is thought to be high in the midfielder, with a number of Premier League sides ready to pounce on him at the end of the season. (h/t Mirror)
Leicester City, now managed by Brendan Rodgers, are one of them. Rodgers was the one who signed Lallana at Liverpool. Lallana has been an excellent professional for Liverpool and has represented the club with dignity and pride.
