Liverpool set for triple injury boost with three players returning
Liverpool can finally breathe a sigh of relief with the trio of Diogo Jota, Naby Keita and Fabinho set to return from injury. With so many players still recovering from their respective injuries, the return of these three will no doubt be a huge boost for beleaguered Jurgen Klopp. (h/t Liverpool Echo)
Fabinho suffered a muscle injury in the Tottenham game and hasn’t played since. The Brazilian was mostly used as a defender before his injury but now he might just be able to return to his favoured midfield position with the arrivals of Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies in defence.
Keita has had a recurring hamstring issue and hasn’t played for over two months. He made a return to the bench in the Everton loss and should be nearing a first-team appearance. This comes at a timely situation with James Milner and Jordan Henderson both out injured.
Lastly, the biggest boost will be Diogo Jota’s return. The forward was injured in Liverpool’s last Champions League game last year and it was a huge blow for the side. His form prior to that was excellent and with the Reds struggling to find some goals, Jota’s return should ease the issue.
