Leeds United stance on Liverpool target Raphinha revealed

According to Daily Mirror (h/t Metro), Leeds United are unwilling to listen to any offers for their star man Raphinha who has been linked to Liverpool. The Leeds United man has been a revelation this season since arriving from Rennes at the start of the campaign.

The Brazilian winger came on to the Reds’ radar after his eye-catching performances for the Whites. He has produced 5 goals and assists each in the Premier League this season. His outstanding performances this season have attracted the attention of Liverpool as well as their rivals Manchester United.

However, reports suggest that the Whites have no intention whatsoever to let go of Raphinha. They see him as a player to build their side around unlike previous occasions where they let go of star players. He has been an integral part of their journey so far in the Premier League.

The Brazilian winger is said to be happy at the club and maintains a good relationship with his teammates. Manager Marcelo Bielsa showered the 24-year-old with some praises.

“I wish all the players were like this because spectators fall in love with the game when they see these types of players. I sincerely think that I can add very little to his game. The best thing you can do with players who are so spontaneous is to let them be themselves. He’s a player who unbalances the opposition by himself, he’s very ambitious, very competitive.”

It will be hard to prise away Raphinha from Leeds given their stand on keeping the player. There is also no release clause in his contract for Liverpool or any side to activate. He is a quality player who has a lot more room for improvement. Liverpool may not exactly need a new attacker but having him in their ranks wouldn’t be too shabby either.
