Graeme Souness believes Jurgen Klopp could have a dressing room fallout at Liverpool soon
Speaking on Sky Sports (h/t Mirror) after the game against Fulham, Graeme Souness gave a possible reason as to why Jurgen Klopp made 7 changes to his Liverpool side.
The Reds saw a massively overhauled starting XI against the Cottagers as compared to the one which took the field against Chelsea last week. Amongst the absentees were world-class players like Sadio Mane and Thiago Alcantara.
And Souness mentioned that so many changes to the line-up could mean that Klopp has had a few words with some of the players who have not been performing well.
“That he’s certainly had words with some of them, he’s not happy with some of them… I’d imagine 7 changes is more than he’d like to make, but I’d imagine he’s maybe had some harsh words with some players.”
A fallout soon?
And the former Liverpool player stated that if the German gaffer might be close to having a fallout in the dressing room; if that hasn’t already happened at the club.
“I would imagine that Jurgen has, if he’s not reached there, is pretty close to going down the road where he’s got to fall out with some players.”
Mane, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho came on in the second half but the game never looked like being in Liverpool’s grasp.
Relegation contenders Fulham understandably took a defensive approach in the closing stages of the game. And the Reds did not look like breaking them down at all.
