Transfer News: Liverpool stance on Caoimhin Kelleher revealed amid Ipswich Town loan links
According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool do not intend to loan out goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in this summer transfer window despite there being interest from Ipswich Town.
The Tractor Boys currently play in League One and are reportedly interested in the Reds goalkeeper. However, Liverpool aim to keep him at the club, with plans of rewarding his progress with a new deal.
The Irish goalkeeper broke into the Reds first team for a brief moment this season. He overtook Adrian to become the club’s No.2 goalkeeper as he made his Premier League and UEFA Champions League debut.

The 22-year-old has kept on progressing as he was awarded his senior debut with Ireland on Tuesday. He came on for the second half against Hungary in Ireland’s international friendly.
The Kelleher instinct
And he even went on to make a number of good saves to keep a clean sheet for his country in a 0-0 draw. It is good to see the youngster make strides and give Liverpool a stellar backup option to Alisson Becker next season.
The report goes on to add that the Reds also want to offer Adrian another deal. The Spanish goalkeeper will be a free agent at the end of this month as his current Liverpool contract is set to expire.
The Brazilian shot-stopper is undoubtedly the club’s No.1. But with Adrian and Kelleher, Jurgen Klopp will have two good options for the next season – granted the duo stays at Anfield.
