Transfer News: Liverpool have advantage in Florian Neuhaus chase
According to transfer news from Mirror, Liverpool are said to have an advantage in the pursuit of Florian Neuhaus. Despite links to Bayern Munich and Manchester City, Liverpool have moved first for him. Klopp is also sharing a close relationship with Neuhaus’ agent.
Neuhaus has been on the radar of Liverpool for quite some time now. The club are looking for reinforcements in midfield to replace Georginio Wijnaldum. The Dutch international showed against Ukraine what an asset he is and how important it is that Liverpool find an adequate replacement.
The 24-year-old has steadily grown into one of the best central midfielders on show in the Bundesliga over the past couple of seasons. Having now established a foothold in the German national side, Neuhaus could be set for a key role in the Euros.
Advantage Liverpool in Neuhaus chase
Now, interest has grown in Neuhaus. Bayern and Man City are the other clubs apart from Liverpool. Nonetheless, Liverpool have moved first for the midfielder and the Reds also have a huge advantage in signing him. Bundesliga expert Floran Plettenburg spoke about the Klopp factor that can give Liverpool the edge.
“Neuhaus is very good in front of goal and he is a dangerous player. He is very flexible and can also play on the wings – technically and physically very good, and the perfect player for Jurgen Klopp. Klopp has shown that he can develop players and I have never heard a player who could not imagine working with him! Klopp knows the [agent] of Neuhaus and the [agent] of Neuhaus knows Klopp very well, so it could be the perfect match – he would fit very well.”

This should come as a huge boost for Liverpool as they try to add to their squad for next season. The signing of Ibrahima Konate is already done. Now, we need to replace Wijnaldum with someone like Neuhaus in order to avoid short staffing in midfield.
