Liverpool could offer Kingsley Coman a way out of Bayern Munich

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes (h/t Daily Star), Liverpool are considering making a swoop for Bayern Munich speedster Kingsley Coman, who is said to be unhappy at the club.

Coman has been with Bayern Munich since 2015, having initially joined on a two-year loan deal from Serie A champions Juventus. The Frenchman was signed permanently in 2017.

Coman has had to toil for game-time during large parts of his time at the Allianz Arena, owing to fitness issues as well as the presence of former superstars Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in the past.

However, in the season gone by, the 25-year-old grew into a prominent role, bagging 8 goals and 15 assists in 39 games in all competitions. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Nonetheless, Coman is still said to be unhappy with his involvement at Bayern Munich. In addition, the 25-year-old French international is requesting a better contract from the German champions. But Die Roten

Liverpool could certainly do with the addition of a winger of Coman’s calibre, considering that the club appears over-reliant on Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. With the latter underperforming last season, it added to the pressure on Salah even more.

Add to it, the duo will be unavailable for a period due to the Africa Cup of Nations set to be played next year. And Xherdan Shaqiri is also facing an uncertain future at Anfield.

So, bringing in another player like Coman would certainly benefit the team. The report

mentions that Liverpool would be willing to sign him and pay him £200,000 a-week wages similar to the club’s top-earners Mo Salah and Thiago Alcantara. Whether that is the case, remains to be seen.
