Transfer News: Liverpool prepare Kingsley Coman offer
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes (h/t Daily Record), Liverpool are ‘preparing an offer’ for Bayern Munich star, Kingsley Coman.
The report states that the contract talks between Coman and his club have come to a halt. This could give Jurgen Klopp the chance to add the 25-year-old to his squad.
The interest from Liverpool is also ‘serious’. Coman has achieved a lot when it comes to winning silverware at three different clubs – PSG, Juventus, and now Bayern.
It shows his pedigree and he would undoubtedly be a quality addition to Liverpool’s attack. While Diogo Jota’s versatility makes him an option across the frontline, Coman would offer a direct backup for the wingers.
Coman to Liverpool?
With both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane primed to leave for AFCON in January 2022, Liverpool could see an urgent need for quality backup in that position. And that is where Coman could come into play.
Coman is currently with the French national team at the UEFA Euros 2020. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winners are touted to be one of the favourites for this competiton.
With the winger on international duty, it is safe to assume that we will have more concrete information on his situation at the Bavarian club once his team’s participation in the tournament concludes.
It is not only his utility to the team in the short term that makes him an exciting prospect for the club, but there is also a possibility that he can take over the reins from Mane or Salah once either (or both) of them decide to call it a day at Anfield.

But of course, that depends on if the Reds can manage to land Coman. He would be a high-profile signing that would please the fans, but let us wait a bit longer before we get our hopes up.
