Transfer News: Mikkel Damsgaard linked with Liverpool move

According to transfer news from Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Mikkel Damsgaard. The Danish playmaker has been linked to a host of clubs such as Tottenham and Barcelona as well.

The Euros tournament is proving to be a good ground for talent unearthing as so many new faces have taken the tournament by storm. Among them, Mikkel Damsgaard is a name that is slowly making the rounds. His strike for Denmark against Russia made sure that his nation qualified for the next round.

His journey has not been easy. He had to make a name for himself back in his homeland before he was offered a way by Sampdoria. The 20-year-old has progressed decently over the past couple of seasons, making significant improvements to his game.

There have been talks of Liverpool going after the Dane. However, their interest could grow as they keep an eye on him in the Euros. Denmark are likely to play a few more games and Damsgaard will be expected to shine. A versatile attacker, he can play anywhere across the frontline and in a midfield role as well.
