Transfer News: Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman ‘offered’ to Liverpool

As per a report by Sport1 via Tribal Football (h/t Liverpool Echo), super-agent Pini Zahavi has ‘sounded out Liverpool’ about a transfer move for Bayern Munich star, Kingsley Coman.

Zahavi is Coman’s agent, who is at Bayern since his transfer from Juventus back in 2017. The report also goes on to mention that the Merseysiders ‘have been told they can tempt Bayern into selling’ Coman with a €50m offer.

As reported by Fichajes (h/t Daily Star), and covered by TheKopTimes last month, Coman is said to be unhappy at Bayern, with Liverpool potentially offering him a way out.

Coman would be a big signing for the Reds considering his reputation in Europe. He has already tasted success with top teams like Bayern, PSG, and Juventus; proving the 25-year-old’s pedigree to be a starter in Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Coman would be a useful signing

Also a full France international already, the winger can offer the Reds a solid option down the wings, especially down Sadio Mane’s flank. With Diogo Jota already signed last summer, it would make Liverpool’s attack all the more deadly.

The club already acquired a Bayern player recently in Thiago Alcantara. The Spaniard won the UEFA Champions League in 2020 and decided to join Klopp’s project – going on to have an impressive second half of the season.

Mane and Salah’s absence in January and February next year is no secret. The pair will represent Senegal and Egypt at AFCON, temporarily leaving the Reds without their first-choice wingers.

If the club ends up signing Coman, then they could also have a long-term asset at the club who has the talent and experience to replace Mane or Salah in the long run.
