Liverpool confirm Fabinho, Alisson, Roberto Firmino preseason return

As confirmed by the club’s official website, Liverpool stars Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino will return to preseason training on Sunday in Evian.

The aforementioned trio were involved in the Copa America 2021 with the Brazilian national team and made it all the way to the finals, where they fell to Argentina. Having ended the international tournament on the 10th of July, the Liverpool stars were given a three-week break to relax and recuperate.

Having now completed their holidays, Alisson, Firmino and Fabinho will be rejoining with the rest of the squad for the preseason in Evian. The Liverpool squad spent the last three weeks in Austria for the preseason training camps, where they contested in friendly encounters as well.

On Saturday, i.e., the squad moves to France, where Jurgen Klopp & co. will continue their preparations with two 60-minute friendly games against Bologna in Evian. Following that, the Reds will return home where two more contests are lined up against Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna.

The Liverpool trio of Alisson, Fabinho and Firmino will get close to two weeks to get into their rhythm before the new season kicks off. The Merseyside giants begin the campaign with a clash against newly-promoted Norwich City on the 14th of August.

Once the Brazilian trio return, Liverpool have all but one player back in the camp. Club captain Jordan Henderson remains the only player yet to come back, having been involved in England’s final run at the Euros.

The finals were played one day after the Copa America showpiece event. So, it may be so that he will return a day after Alisson, Fabinho and Firmino do.
