Liverpool are linked with Jude Bellingham in a club record transfer deal next summer
According to Daily Star (h/t Express), Jude Bellingham is eyed as a target by Liverpool in the next summer transfer window. The Premier League giants could break their transfer record in order the land the 18-year old at Anfield from Borussia Dortmund.
The young teenager recently appeared in England’s national team under Gareth Southgate. The player started against Andorra in the midfield position and justified the decision of his manager with his performance on the night. He was also the part of England squad during Euros 2020 at just 18 years of age.
Bellingham had a good first season with Dortmund after departing from Birmingham City, and appeared in 29 games for the German club in Bundesliga. He also performed well in the Champions League which saw his team reach the Quarter Finals of the competition.
Many Liverpool supporters would be feeling that the club could have done much better in the summer window. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was questioned on the clubs intent to sign a new midfielder this summer, to which he hinted that the club would move if there was a right player in the market. Before the game against Chelsea, Klopp said:
“If the one player who is really the one who could improve all the things we have spoken out, we would go for him, I promise, if we would see him”
At just 18-years of age, Juge Bellingham has burst on to scene which could see him joining a major Premier League team in near future. Though as of now Liverpool are believed to be leading the race to sign the talented midfielder from Borussia Dortmund and hope that a fee of £80 million could persuade the German side next summer.

Liverpool lost a key midfielder in Georginio Wijnaldum this summer to Paris Saint-Germain. Since then, the club has made no considerable efforts to sign a new midfielder. However, Liverpool could well make a move to sign Bellingham next summer for a club-record fee.
Whether the German club will keep hold of their prized asset or not remains to be seen until next summer, but he sure would be a useful short and long-term signing for the Reds.
