Liverpool to hold talks to sign RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg

According to journalist Ekrem Konur (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool will hold talks with RB Salzburg to sign 19-year-old striker Karim Adeyemi.

The young attacker has displayed impressive form with the Austrian side this season. He already scored six goals in the opening seven games of this campaign in the Austrian Bundesliga.

The German striker is under contract with the Salzburg side until 2024. La Liga giants Barcelona and German behemoths Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the teenage sensation.

The Reds are looking to add reinforcements in their attacking department. Despite Karim Adeyemi’s young age, it is believed that the youngster could have an instant impact on their attacking threat.

Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah are set to miss out on a significant part of the season due to the African Cup of Nations in January. The duo’s absence could have a grave impact on the team.

Jurgen Klopp has given hints that the January transfer window will be used as an opportunity to fill the void that will be created by the absence of their star forwards.

Adeyemi played a pivotal role in his side’s draw against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League despite missing a penalty and has already made his senior international debut for the German national team during the recent international break.

The teenager has become an integral part of Salzburg’s setup. He could help bring some much-needed reinforcement at Anfield and Klopp seems really keen on getting the young German striker to Liverpool.
