Youngster Terence Miles signs first professional contract at Liverpool
According to the official Liverpool website, 17-year-old youngster, Terence Miles, has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool FC.
The teenager made his U-18 debut last season where he impressed as a central defender on numerous occasions.
Miles has also played in midfield several times, showcasing his versatility. He was on the scoresheet against Manchester United and recorded an assist versus Nottingham Forest. Terence is a scouser who has been with the Reds since his U-7 days. (h/t Liverpool website)
Signing a professional contract with the club is a dream for every young lad. Many of the homegrown players have gone on to make a big name for themselves on the global stage. Steven Gerrard was a scouser who could be considered the perfect role model for every academy product.
In the current crop of players, Trent Alexander-Arnold is a player who has come up through the ranks to cement his place as one of the top full-backs in global football. Jurgen Klopp hasn’t been shy of giving deserving youngsters the opportunity to perform on the big stage.
Players like Rhys Williams, Curtis Jones have featured in the first team set up in recent seasons. Terence Miles is still a young player who has to first make his mark in the U-23 side after impressing in the younger age groups.

This is a big step for the young player and also shows the kind of confidence that the management has in his abilities. There is still a long way to go for the teenager but these are promising signs.
