According to The Independent (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool face tough competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City to sign West Ham United winger, Jarrod Bowen.

The 24-year-old forward has caught the eye of several PL clubs. He forms an integral part of David Moyes’ team playing on the flanks. The Hammers have made great progress under the former Everton manager who will be competing in the UEFA Europa League this season after a long time.

Liverpool will continue to monitor West Ham star, Jarrod Bowen, beyond the transfer deadline day.
Liverpool will continue to monitor West Ham star, Jarrod Bowen, but face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City.

Bowen made his way to the London club in 2020 from Hull City. The talented forward scored 8 goals and assisted 5 times last season in the Premier League. He brings a certain versatility to the squad and showed it in their latest PL match against Man United, where he was playing as a striker in the absence of Michail Antonio last Sunday at the London Stadium.

The Reds already have a host of talented wingers like Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in their roster. Diogo Jota can also slot in whenever required and has proven to be quite an effective upfront.

The former Hull City player will have to work really hard to get into the forward lineup if he ever made his way to Anfield. He would have to deputise for them and wait for his opportunity patiently which could mean limited game time.

Bowen has been relishing his time at West Ham. The club has grown in stature and are beginning to compete at a higher level. The Hammers face a tough schedule and will have played 6 matches in 20 days towards the end of September. The 24-year-old player could be a great addition to Liverpool but it remains to be seen if the Reds end up moving for him, especially with other clubs interested.
