Juventus joins the race to sign Liverpool transfer target Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe has long been the desired star forward for many big European clubs like Real Madrid and Liverpool who have been keen on bringing the French sensation in their squad in previous transfer windows.

However, another European giant have recently been linked with Mbappe and they are the former Italian champions, Juventus. With Cristiano Ronaldo now out of Turin, Juventus lack that clinical finish and star presence in the squad. The Italian giants are currently at a mediocre 10th place in Serie A, 10 points behind frontrunners Napoli.

Kylian Mbappe could join Liverpool on a free
Liverpool have been long-term admirers of Mbappe.

Moreover, Juve recently have been interchanging their forward line as there is hardly anyone who can deliver goals for them day in, day out. According to Tuttosport (h/t Liverpoolecho) Juventus are interested in signing Mbappe, but may not have the funds available to secure a deal with Paris-Saint Germain.

The report further adds that while Juve may want to sign Mbappe, they could potentially be forced to go for a ‘secondary option’ that won’t be as expensive as the star French forward.

Mbappe has previously been heavily linked with Liverpool, but any prospect of Mbappe joining the Reds remains highly tentative at this point.

The forward line at Anfield remains compact with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane and it seems unlikely that these star forwards would go away anytime soon to make space for the arrival of Mbappe at Anfield.

Real Madrid has been another club heavily linked with the PSG forward, and consequentially the player and the club share a rather evident mutual admiration for each other. However, which of these European giants manage to get hold of the young Parisian sensation, remains to be seen.
