Transfer News: AS Monaco put £34m price tag on Liverpool target Aurélien Tchouaméni
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato (h/t Daily Mail), AS Monaco have put a £34m price tag on French midfielder and Liverpool transfer target, Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The 21-year-old midfielder is making waves across the footballing globe. Juventus and Chelsea are the other European giants that are monitoring the situation of the youngster. Amidst all this interest, the French club have now put out their evaluation of the player.
The French midfielder has a breakthrough season in the last campaign as he started 36 games out of a possible 38 for the Ligue 1 side. He played a total of 42 games across all competitions last season in which he scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists for AS Monaco.
The young midfielder could be a great long-term investment for Liverpool provided he is nurtured in the proper manner. The Reds could definitely use a few additions after last season’s injury crisis. Jurgen Klopp has been mindful of rotating his players at the start of this season across different competitions.
Despite these precautions, the Merseyside club have had to face some early scares in the middle of the pitch with injuries to Thiago Alcantara and Harvey Elliott. Naby Keita has resumed his training recently after picking up a knock in their Carabao Cup fixture against Norwich City.
Aurélien Tchouaméni is a young and exciting prospect. He could be a perfect fit to bring some youthful vigour and change to the Anfield outfit.
