Manchester United legend Gary Neville thinks that Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah is likely to leave the club

Speaking on the Sky Sports’ Overlap YouTube channel (h/t The Express), Gary Neville has touted Mohamed Salah to leave Liverpool. He also has suggested three possible destinations that the winger might choose.

The Merseyside club and Salah have been in ongoing contract talks for a while. With both parties unable to reach an agreement so far, speculations have seemingly been increasing day by day.

The Egyptian’s current deal is set to expire in 2023 and the Reds would want to tie him down on a new contract. There have been rumours of an offer worth £385,000 per week being made which would make Mo Salah the highest earner in the squad.

“I don’t think he will stay at Liverpool for the rest of his career. It’s my personal view. It’s always been that view but I could be wrong.”

Neville believes that Mo Salah would leave Anfield for a move to FC Barcelona, Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain. He thinks that a player like Salah must have that on his playing CV as it was for many others.

“I think he’s done an unbelievable job at Liverpool. I’ve just always felt he wants a Paris [Saint-Germain], a Real Madrid, a Barcelona and I think he’ll go and get it.”

All of the three clubs are European giants, but Liverpool are no less. It is possible that Salah wants to feel valued at the club and wants to earn a salary that matches a player of his calibre. And FSG needs to wrap this situation up as soon as possible for the benefit of all parties.
