An intimate look at the Liverpool stars who are currently out injured

According to Liverpool Echo, there have been several updates to the injury list involving a group of Liverpool players. These players include Trent Alexander-Arnold

, Curtis Jones, Thiago Alcantara, Harvey Elliott and Diogo Jota.

The English club have been preparing for their match against Watford following the international break in October. The Reds are hoping to continue their good start to the season and overtake Chelsea at the summit of the league.

Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sits in second place with 15 points in seven matches, a point behind Thomas Tuchel’s early trendsetters. We now take a look at how the club’s injured stars are faring.

Alexander-Arnold had previously suffered an adductor injury during training but will be available for selection for the game at Vicarage Road against Watford. Thiago Alcantara meanwhile is still doubtful but his recovery is still going smoothly as the midfielder posted an update on social media.

Jota, on the other hand, overcame an injury scare as he suffered a muscle injury in training for Portugal. He has however been cleared for selection this weekend.

Jones picked up an injury playing for the U21 England national team as they faced Andorra. Since he was an absentee during Thursday’s training session it is unlikely that he will feature this weekend.

The Merseyside club will be facing the Hornets and their new manager Claudio Ranieri, who will be managing his first game for the home team.

While the return of Trent and Jota is good news, the Reds will also be without Fabinho and Alisson who are both on international duty. With the players slowly but surely returning to match fitness, Klopp’s options will only continue to grow.
