Borussia Dortmund chief indicates ‘no sign’ of Jude Bellingham’s departure plans amid Liverpool and Manchester United interest
According to SPORT1 (h/t Metro), Borussia Dortmund chief Sebastian Kehl says that Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham is happy at the club and isn’t planning to move away from Signal Iduna Park anytime soon.
Jude Bellingham has become a transfer target for many European top clubs. Alongside Erling Haaland, the 18-year old is also making headlines in recent times. He showed his ability against Arminia Bielefeld by scoring a superb solo goal last Saturday. This season he has three goals and six assists in all competitions for BVB.
The English midfielder could have played for any big premier league team but chose Dortmund for good game time. He left Birmingham in 2020 and opted to play for the German team, and he has already been featured in 13 Champion League games for Dortmund.
According to SPORT1 (h/t Metro), Dortmund chief suggests that they are not keen on selling such a young prospect and the player himself is happy to get the exposure.
“There’s a lot of interest around Jude Bellingham, not only Liverpool. But there is no bottom line and no exit clause. He is loved here; he enjoys that. There are no signs he could leave Borussia Dortmund soon.”
The former german player has also suggested that they have high hopes of winning titles, and they need players like Bellingham to achieve that goal.
Even the great Sir Alex Ferguson couldn’t make him sign for the red devils. Bellingham met him last year during a visit to Carrington, Manchester United’s training ground.
The wonder-kid shows no sign of slowing down. He has already made 61 appearances in the yellow-black jersey. At this pace, he would attract a lot of eyes from big clubs.
The 18-years old midfielder’s current contract ends in 2025, which is a long time. But the English clubs are patiently waiting for any opportunity to bring in the youngster as they know any investment in the youngster can give them a decade of good performance. Alongside Liverpool, United and Chelsea are also interested in the youngster.
