According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport Liverpool Echo, Chelsea and Juventus are two of the teams who have joined the race to sign Aurelien Tchouameni, who has been linked with Liverpool recently.
In recent times Aurelien Tchouameni has attracted a lot of eyes from big European clubs, including Real Madrid from Spain. The holding midfielder rose to fame because of his consistent performances for the Monaco side.
This season he has 17 appearances for The Monégasques across all competition. The youngster’s ability to control the game and his presence of mind has been essential in his recent growth.
Chelsea, who have one of the most significant holding midfielders in the game, are now eyeing the prospect. The 21-year-old player can take away the burden from N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, who have been featuring for the Blues consistently. The intensity and pressure to perform at the highest level can take a toll on their body.
Liverpool have been an admirer of the youngster for some time now. Their injury problems have started this year again, and this time it has affected the midfield. Thus, Jurgen Klopp can integrate the quality player in his arsenal of world-class midfielders.
But now it seems that they have to compete with the London team to lure the prospect along with the Serie A giants.
It remains to be seen where this goes from here, but Liverpool fans wouldn’t be opposed to getting in a quality midfielder after losing Georginio Wijnaldum and Xherdan Shaqiri to PSG and Lyon respectively in the summer.
