Liverpool are confident in their pursuit of Fulham starlet Fabio Carvalho
According to TEAMtalk (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool are confident that they can lure Fabio Carvalho despite Fulham’s desperation to hold onto the youngster.
Despite an injury-ridden start, the youngster’s performance remains top-notch whenever he features for the Cottagers. This season he has scored three goals and provided one assist in seven games so far.
The young prospect has attracted eyes from some of the big European clubs seeking his talents. In the race to lure the youngster, Liverpool are joined by Benfica, Porto, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon and Monaco.
It is believed that Fulham, by all means, want to hold onto the 19-years-old player. They have shown their interest in giving him a long-term deal, securing his future at the club.
A source told TEAMtalk (h/t Liverpoolecho) that they are desperate in their approach to keep hold of the 19-year-old. They are also aware that they face a fight on their hands to convince Carvalho to stay put.
“The club is desperate to keep hold of Fabio, and they are hopeful. But they realise he knows of the interest in him, and it won’t be easy.”
Fulham is a good side for Carvalho to gain more experience in. However, there is a ceiling that the Cottagers can offer him in terms of opportunities. A move to Liverpool could be just what he needs to take his development further.
