Transfer News: Villarreal set to resist offers for Arnaut Danjuma amid Liverpool interest
According to transfer news from Football insider (h/t Liverpool Echo), Villarreal are planning to take an uncompromising stand and would ‘resist all offers’ for Liverpool target Arnaut Danjuma.
Arnaut Danjuma has become a skilful forward at Villarreal. He scored seven goals in 15 games for the Spanish club across all competitions. Since joining the Yellow Submarine, the player has proved his goalscoring hunger in the Spanish Premier division.
Due to his electrifying display and attacking intent, the left-winger has attracted a lot of eyes from big European clubs, with Liverpool being one of them.
The Reds long-serving untouchable front line has been exceptional through the years. They are undoubtedly the present of the club, but the future remains unanswered. Jurgen Klopp had made this mark with the Mersyside club but would need to strengthen the squad for more stable results.
The 24-year-old player can give heavy competition to the untouchable front three in order to extract the best possible performance out of the squad. He could also become a viable alternative to Klopp if he loses two of his prime attackers to AFCON in January.
But the La Liga team are looking to hold onto their star player as they confirm their transfer stance regarding the winger ahead of the January transfer window. They wouldn’t want to lose such a vital player of the squad in the mid-season that would eventually give them headaches to find replacements.

It is believed that El Submarino Amarillo are planning to ‘resist all offers’ for the Dutch player in the January window.
This could come as a massive blow for Liverpool, who were keen on luring the prospect. The Reds board would have to redevelop their tactics in the following summer window in case any opportunity arises but it remains undeniable that they really need an attacking option on the bench, if not in the starting XI right now.
