Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg

According to German daily Sport Bild (h/t Liverpool Echo), Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich are keen on signing Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi but can’t guarantee him regular playing time.

The 19-year-old has become a sensation in the Austrian Bundesliga, and his age hasn’t stopped him from becoming the highest scorer in the league. With 11 goals in 13 games, he has undoubtedly stirred interest in the transfer market.

Karim Adeyemi has attracted eyes from the Liverpool board due to his electrifying performance.

It could be an ideal time for him to move to the next level of his career. Meanwhile, there won’t be any difficulty if he decides to move away from the Austrian team as some of the biggest names in world football have their eyes on him.

Liverpool kept a tab on the 19-year-old player’s situation in case an opportunity arises. But the Reds also face heavy competition from FC Barcelona.

The Catalan club were preparing a formal bid of €40m for the striker. Till now, they are ahead of any team in the pursuit. But it seems a new competitor has now emerged.

Bayern Munich have shown interest in the young prospect who has played for their youth team before. However, it is believed that they ‘cannot offer’ him guaranteed playing time.

The Der FCB holds one of the most lethal forward lineups in modern football. They have a mix of experience and young blood in the team. They already had Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry. After the inclusion of Leroy Sané and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, they have enough viable options to change the course of any game.

They might be looking to sign the young player as a future investment or provide additional depth to the squad. But only time could tell whether such an offer can attract the young player who has only missed one game due to injury for The Red Bulls.

This could become a massive advantage for Jurgen Klopp’s team, who would still need to beat Barcelona in the race.
