Sadio Mane has demanded a Salah-like contract offer from the Liverpool board
According to Goal (h/t Mirror), Liverpool star Sadio Mane has asked for a contract offer similar to what his attacking partner Mohamed Salah demanded.
Both wingers had a massive influence on Liverpool’s recent success. The two has been putting some awe-inspiring performances at Anfield while they have continued their row of incredible performances this season.
While the Senegalese player is having a great season with nine goals in 16 appearances, much of the headlines belong to his partner in crime.
The Egyptian has broken several records this season with his electrifying performances. His goalscoring record is more breathtaking this season bagging 16 goals in 16 matches.
The Merseyside team achieved a staggering 4-0 victory over Premier League rival Arsenal on Saturday, and the African duo was influential in that game too. Mane opened the scoring in the first half before assisting Salah in the second half.
Even though the Egyptian holds the upper hand in individual performances, Mane is not too far behind. Now it seems the Senegalese superstar is claiming equal pay as his compatriot.
Both players have 18 months left on their contract. Having them net the same raise will demand a significant financial commitment from Liverpool. Whether the Reds will agree to it remains to be seen.

The Merseyside team’s board would feel cornered here as they don’t want to lose two of their most important players.
Being such an influential player of the squad, the Reds board would consider Mane’s demand. But it would take some time for them to agree to such a high paying deal as they are already involved in Salah’s contract talks.
