Canadian starlet Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty is currently training with Liverpool amid massive interest from elite clubs
According to a report from MLS Soccer (h/t Liverpool Echo), Canadian starlet Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty has been participating in Liverpool training sessions as a part of his tour with Premier League clubs.
The Canadian sensation rose to fame at a very young age when he signed a professional contract with MLS side Toronto FC at the age of 15. The youngster has given some incredible performances for the North American side since. This season, the right-winger has scored one goal and provided three assists across all club competitions.
The 17-year-old striker is currently touring Premier League clubs amid the MLS offseason. It is believed that he spent a considerable amount of time at Arsenal and is presently training with Liverpool.
The Canadian forward’s incredible performances have attracted much attention from European clubs. It is believed that many ‘UEFA Champions League clubs’ are interested in signing the Right-winger.
The exact nature of the interest from Liverpool isn’t clear at this point, but looking at his past performances for the American side, he has a chance of impressing Jurgen Klopp. In such a case, the striker could become a viable alternative for the forward roles in the Reds squad.
The Reds’ untouchable forward trio- Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino is getting older with every passing year. They are still providing top-class performances in the highest level of English football. But Jurgen Klopp hasn’t given any thought to the future look of the Merseyside team.
The German manager promoted Harvey Elliott to the first team and has been open to giving youth a chance. Anfield is an excellent place for a budding player to move to.
